China drama in China

So.... After assurances by the adoption agency that "shipping wasn't a problem" and that "The China office regularly uses a reliable shipping company" we come to find out from our guide that no one has heard of the company. We called back to the states to find out what was going on, the person in the states called our guide. And it seems we can't find anyone to ship our china set to the states for us.

TIP: Don't trust your adoption agency when it comes to any recommendations that are unrelated to adoption. And question those as well.

Much of the advice we got was incomplete or wrong; luckily nothing devastatingly so. But enough for perpetual unease.

The china is now unpacked and put in a carry-on, with a few pieces left over for another bag. We would have never have bought the china had we know what a fustercluck shipping was going to be. GRRRRRRR....

(Chanting: We have our daughter... We have our daughter... We have our daughter...)
