Today was kind of a slow day. We did a little shopping and hung out with firends for dinner.
tomorrow is a big day. Zoe will become a an American. We will take her to the American consulate for the oath taking ceremony which i assume we will take for her. There are no camera allowed or video for that matter, but we will give you guys an update when it's official.
Tomorrow is our last full day in Guangzhou Friday we head to Hong Kong by Train hoping that will be fun and not miserable I am guessing it could go either way. :)
We get home late Saturday night. Sooooo close yet so far. It's kind of nice most of us are on the same flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco and then we our separate way from there. It will be sad to everyone go but the world is such a small place now it won't be hard to keep in touch.
Zoe is still doing great and continues to fell better although the green snotties are hanging on.
So I know I have mentioned we have had a variety of dinners out while we are but one thing I have not ranted about is the napkin situation here. I know you must be thinking huh? While tell me about it. It started in Beijing and has followed us through out the trip.
they are stingy with napkins here. At dinner you are lucky to get a cocktail napkin folded into this tiny little triangle. Last night they actually charged us for a package of about 4-6 napkins slightly bigger than a cocktail napkin. ummm I have an infant learning to eat.... what good is a cocktail napkin to me? If they do supply napkins with your meal they don't like you to ask for extra ones. Again it's just one of those cutural differences that strikes me from time to time.
Hope you have a great Wednesday I am going to get Zoe to bed for the night!
Laura
